It is 6 am, a warm damp morning. The roosters are calling to all and sundry. The sea is without ever a ripple. Rain from last night drips from the rigging. The buckets in the cockpit are full of water collected off the awning. The yesterday's laundry hanging over the foredeck will need another day to try and dry. So will the stalk of bananas hanging from the backstay. We have had warm rain showers on and off for a few days. I am overjoyed to have Sandra back on Mazu with me.

The supply ship came from Tahiti the day before yesterday. I brought fresh produce and groceries for the small stores, building supplies, and thousands of packages that the locals had ordered. No Amazon 3 day shipping out here. We were able to buy diesel fuel which we had to ferry in jerry cans to Mazu. 3 trips, 300 litres!

Before Sandra arrived, I did all the boat chores such as oil and filter changes on the engine, organizing `anchoring gear for the dingy and knocking off a few more projects on the never ending to do list.

The rain has made the mountain hikes too slippery, so we are heading off to explore some of the other islands and anchorages in the Gambier group today.
