Just 44 miles to go! It's 7am NZ time. I am motorsailing into a light headwind towards the Bay of Islands. The weather is something I'd better get used to.....cloudy and cool. I have on long pants, a long sleeved top and socks. How strange!

It seems like only yesterday that I thought I'd like to sail Mazu across the South Pacific and end up in New Zealand. I am happy and sad to be arriving, as you can imagine. It has been a fantastic adventure, the places visited, the people met, the friends made. I am quite content to stop the ocean voyaging at this point. I do not know what the future holds, but right now the present is a very fine place to be.
