Day 3 Galapagos to French Polynesia
11 May 2010
Wind 13K S SE
All's well aboard Meander (apart from impending mutiny over the messy tool room) and they can now eat thanks to Simon's brilliant fishing prowess...another Mahi Mahi caught at dawn. Milo of course, being fishing dog extraordinaire, likes to help (urh hinder?) and gets very excited EVERY TIME a fish is landed. After not being able to get off the boat at the Galapagos at all he seems reasonably happy to be underway again. He is also starting to collect all the flying fish that land on the boat and brings them to the back of the boat. And boy do they stink...not the sort of thing you'd want to be collecting. There are now five boats on the radio schedule and three of them are Aussie boats from Brisbane
Simon says
"Michael has been teaching me Gin Rummy but it'll be a while before I can beat him. We are also off the beer after slight overindulgence in Galapagos ....it's now been four days... a record!!!!! Rays second meal of the trip - beer bread - has followed the first as fish food!!!!! No ships sighted
And Michael has this message
Greeting to Yacht Master O'Neil - the bathtub is touching 8K.
