I had a call from a very tired skipper after some pretty awful conditions. Poor Simon had a bad case of the trots so wasn't a well puppy throughout the trip. So it was Ray and Mick that were on deck throughout the night responding to the conditions as they changed. They managed to make it into the Atol unscathed unlike another boat (actually the latest Prout-type design) that was picked up by a wave and unceremoniously dumped on the reef. The Prouts, and this newer model, all have their water tanks built into their hulls, so it was those that copped the brunt of the damage. Sound like it's tense work around so much coral when you haven't got completely calm conditions. And I guess there's not many places to hide when it does turn nasty. The guys expect to be coming into Tahiti on the weekend along with Fancy Free.
