Chillin' in Delrey Beach

We are settled in at Boynton Harbour Marina. I’ve extended our stay here until after Lynn’s next eye appointment next Thursday. We decide to stay with Tom and Pat in Delrey Beach through Sunday so Lynn can be comfortable following her laser treatment. Lynn is really frustrated that she can’t read for 72 hours and must remain in a reclined position until her next appointment. We’ve had a great visit with Tom and Pat and they’ve been very generous to host us while Lynn recovers. Come Sunday we geared up for the Super. Wings, Nachos and a great game!

We returned to Interlude Monday so we can do a little work on the boat and give Tom and Pat a break. We filled our water tanks, did some minor troubleshooting on our chart plotter (resolved) and some work on the dinghy. Bob took a short bike ride to Supercuts for a haircut and grabbed some groceries at the local Publix next to Supercuts. Boynton Beach is a nice town. We wouldn’t mind stopping here again. The marina staff have been very accommodating to our situation since they don’t typically handle transients longer than a night or two. Tuesday night we treated ourselves to a fantastic pizza from Café Frankie’s right next to the marina. Wednesday afternoon, Pat and Tom picked us up and we headed over to their place in Delrey Beach to stage for Thursday morning’s first follow up appt for Lynn’s eye.

Lynn had her first follow up appt with the doctor in the morning. We’re happy to report that the healing process is progressing as expected and there are no further retinal tears or retinal deteriorations. She still has activity limitations for the next couple of weeks. We have another appt on February 22nd. Since staying in a marina for two weeks is relatively expensive as a transient, especially in southern FL, we will leave the marina Friday morning and return to the Lake Worth anchorage where we will remain until her next appointment. The Lake Worth anchorage is well protected and has easy access to marinas with services such as water, fuel and pump-out. There is also a supermarket and West Marine within walking distance from a dinghy landing.
