We've been sailing non-stop for 6 days and nights without seeing another sailboat, but this morning I saw a colorful spinnaker on the horizon behind us. Mom called them on the radio and talked with them for awhile. They are going to the South Pacific also. And they have two kids on board!
We have about two weeks more to go but Dad says we can do it.
So far on our Big Trip we have met lots of kids, caught a few fish, been in a diving contest in Ixtapa, and talked to a crowd (with a microphone!) in Cabo San Lucas.
So far we have visited Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz, Morro Bay, the Channel Islands, Santa Barbara, Catalina Island, Marina del Rey, Oceanside and San Diego- all in California.
In Mexico we have visited Turtle Bay, Bahia Santa Maria, Cabo San Lucas, Los Frailes, Los Muertos, La Paz, Isla Partida, Mazatlan, Isla Isabella, Chacala, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Puerto Vallarta, Chamela, Tenacatita, Barre de Navidad, Manzanillo, Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.
Next stop: the Marquesas!
