Back in the Saddle Again
18 April 2009 | La Paz
Hola Amigos. We had a whirlwind tour of Southern California. Lewis drove over 1000 miles. Thanks to the generosity of Family and Friends we slept in 8 different beds in 2 weeks. It did take us less than 24 hours to get a parking ticket in Santa Monica ( which seems to be average for visitors). Sean got one 24 hours after returning from Costa Rica.
We found the hard way that it costs less to replace the starter motor on a car than a boat.
Besides those little blips on the Radar, we had a wonderful time. We renewed relationships with friends and Grandchildren. Lewis turned in our 1040 and 540.
Lewis had Easter brunch with his 95 y/o mom with his brother and sister while ML was playing tennis with her friends in Palm Springs.
While we praise Mexican food, we now have 5 pounds to lose. Have we used the "Generosity" word yet?
Interestingly we both felt that we were going home when we boarded the plane for La Paz.
We are leaving La Paz today for 2 weeks up the Sea of Cortez. ML flies home 5/6 and Lewis picks up one crewmember in La Paz and another in Cabo. Then he plans 10 to 14 days to "Bash" back to the States. We already have reserved a slip in MDR for June 1st.
Happy Generosities to you until we Blog again.
