Ptown to Cape Cod Canal

Once we had a strategy for replacing the pump we actually found a way to play with the switch on the current pump to pump into the holding tank. Yeah! No more sloshing and no more improvising. We had margaritas to celebrate at Mac's restaurant along with some raw bar. This was Andy's strong recommendation. Then we went to Stop and Shop to pick up provisions and lugged them about a mile back to Merry Mac. We then rushed to dinner at Grand Central Restaurant, returned to the marina and showered before finally crashing at about 10:00. Stressful afternoon but seemingly a good outcome. We slept in on Saturday and did some wash before leaving the dock at 9:30 am. We needed to time our arrival at the Cape Cod Canal for about 1:30 pm when the current shifts to the west. As we left Ptown the current in the canal was 3.8 knots unfavorable! We are now on the water with the sun peeking through an otherwise fairly cloudy day. The winds are about 15 kts from the northeast so we are zooming along at 6.5-7 knots! This is finally what they call "fair winds and following seas". Yesterday we had fair winds but four foot waves coming at us. Correction to the above. We just hit 7.6 kts beating the 7.3 record with Jonathan. 🙂
