Another 24 hours gone by - Interesting night. Had diesel in bilge due healing a couple of days back, but managed to have small amount of water deposit in bilge also-all up 2/12 buckets (Where from do not know-keeping an eye on it) Bilge pump going off at 1am. Everyone on hand to vacuum out. Captain Jack (Skip) not happy. A small amount of water in bilge this morning. We are over half way now with Southerly 18 knts travelling 7.5-8.5 knts up 1.5-2.5 m swells. We are all ok, all sleeping as much as we can, intermittently.Heading E/NE towards Noumea. Leave you with my poem. (Polaris sent email - too large to open our end!)
"My Captain Jack" had a spat whilst rocking in the bilge, 2m swells & diesel smells - Just made him a raging bull! Pete & I stood by his side and just helped him out Back on deck screaming to the world "Are we having fun yet!"
Quote of the morning Captain Jack of course: "Where is that F.....g taxi I ordered?"
