7.25 am 14/6/09 Getting down to the wire - motored all evening still light variable conditions - currently NW 3-5knts steaming at 8 - 10 knts. Warm conditions yesterday out of the winter clothes into shorts-bean bag on the bow,as far as the eye can see only the Pacific Ocean WoW! love that change, thought I was heading for the arctic there for a while.
Slowing it down as do not want to reach Noumea in the dark. We have a new ETA tomorrow 15/6/09 approx 5-6 am. All great onboard Migaloo - We are in a pattern now-Getting some sleep 3-4 hour watches. Casserole for Dinner. Migaloo behaving-Captain Jack enjoying motoring HA HA! Power boatie at heart. Pete not liking this motoring,put the sails back up. I'm with you Pete!
I did the graveyard shift from Midnight to 4am - calm beautiful night plenty of stars - North Star twinkling away. Cannot wait to see Noumea in the distance...so excited now!
Our water leak is found : Packing Gland on Rudder Post - Slow leak.

My Captain Jack is back on Track Smiling like a Cheshire Cat! Engine running for Noumea We will be so glad to see her. Hoist up the Flags "French" & "Quarantine" Call customs for our compulsory meeting. Look our"Le Restaurant" here we come, we sure as hell need some rum. We will settle for a glass of wine & cheers to us "We made it on time". Well done Migaloo you sailed so well Just need to get rid of that diesel smell.
