Still here! We have watched the trilogy of "Lord of the Rings" (borrowed from "Melody) and many other video's and read our books. We had a "bloody stupid low Pressure system" (as John called it) so we have been basically confined below relaxing indoors. We had Westerly winds clocking up to 35knts and terrential rain.
We are well happy and relaxed. Explored today in Tinny, found the Hot Spring & couple of waterfalls. Nice to see the sun again. We have shared the anchorage with numerous boats from all over the globe, only one yacht dragged through the day, owner on board so no dramas. John has caught some bait fish from Migaloo this afternoon, angry, spikey flat silver fish...sorry no idea what they are - I did ask John if he wanted a bag for them and his reply was " I think they need too calm down a bit yet". Hopefully will cath a larger local fish tomorrow.
There is a discreet lack of bird life, animal life here, quite strange. If weather was better, there is mangroves, would have liked to see if there was any crabs...next time. (We have seen the local crabs in market...very black...John said they are much like the locals...very politically incorrect)
We are heading off early tomorrow morning back to Noumea - Port Moselle to restock - food and alcohol, apply for an extension for our visa for Noumea...may stay around here to see all we can see...if visa declined will head to Vanuatu.
Love to all.......au revoir!
