As most of you know, MiJoy has been in a slip in Ft Pierce, Fl for over a year while we went back to Okla due to family illness. We are now back at the Marina & have been cleaning & preparing her for the journey to the Bahamas. Mike has worked very hard on projects and I've been provisioning for a 6 month anticipated trip. I I have stuffed groceries in every nook I can find & keep a list of where everything is located. Mike has his extra large Jif peanut butter from Sams. 12 to be exact , so he will have to ration carefully. !!

We took MiJoy out today to see how she is running & shake out any problems before we head across the Gulf Stream. We believe there is a possibility we may have a weather window next week to leave but as always, weather changes plans for cruisers frequently. You have to respect Mother Nature & be flexible. While we were out today, Mike calibrated the compass & auto pilot. There appears to be an issue with our auto pilot so Mike is troubleshooting back at the Marina & as I write this blog. He may have the problem solved so we will take her out again tomorrow & see what happens, we will report when we know for sure we are leaving.
