We spent March 19-23 at Great Guana Cay. This is the weekend for the Geezer's Spring Break. We learned of this from the Canadians on L dock at Treasure Cay. This is the highlight of the winter for some of them. Imagine Jimmy Buffet and his parrot heads at a beach bar singing songs of the Abacos. It was great fun. We began Thursday evening with a happy hour at the Marina. Great food, fun people (about 50), guitar playing, spoons, tambourines and singing along! On Friday we hiked up the hill to Nippers bar for the concert by Barefoot Man. He played with his band for 5 hours (1-6) with only one break. He has some great songs. People dance on the deck and the tables. Thanks goodness it is over at 6 so we can recover!! Saturday we relaxed and swam. In the evening we attended a buffet at Nipper's and another concert by the Barefoot Man. The food was fabulous, the music great again and the evening balmy with the ocean sounding in the background.
