Well we left Channel Islands marina headed for Cat Harbor on Catalina island about 7am. Had an uneventful trip and we were able to motorsail using both headsails (the sails in front of the mast). The weather was sunny, a bit of a chill still in the air. When we got to Catalina the seas had become lumpy and we had some difficulty finding the entrance to Cat Harbor. The entrance blended in with the surrounding cliffs! Finally we spotted a fishing boat and watched as he seemingly dissapeared into the cliff! We headed for that spot, and sure enough found the entrance! Fortunately there were only a handful of boats in there so we had no problem anchoring. Our new anchor dug-in immediately! Yay!
