Have had a fabulous few days around the top of Hook and Hayman Islands with some great snorkelling. Small hiccup this morning when our engine oil alarm sounds and we discover we have lost all the oil from what we later find is a drain point that the "plug" had somehow dislodged. Anyway after much swearing and cursing from Captain Chaz we finally get the situation under control, with Mandy the Mate trying to keep calm and sail on as we couldn't even think about starting the engine until we had replaced all the oil we had lost (which of course was now floating around in the bilge of the boat 😤). Once we secure our mooring at Blue Pearl Bay we have a great dive and we return to the yacht agreeing this is why the Great Barrier Reef is No. 2 on the Lonely Planets guide of "Must Do's"! Fish and coral just amazing. Next couple of hours spent mopping up bilge oil and tidying up today's "hiccup". We are now sitting back enjoying s couple of well earned sundowners 😀🍺🍷
