Day 14 – July 14th
Another walk to take some pictures and stretch out the kinks and I hate to say this but yes another beautiful morning, we have been so lucky with the weather, only a few rainy afternoons, but every morning we rise to perfect skies and calm seas “Whatever” leaves early again and we depart at 08.45, motoring along as no wind at all let alone on our nose. It is so flat today that we have seen a few whales and a couple of sea otters and I am updating my blog. Doug cooks egg and bacon a real treat for me as I have done all the cooking so far. I spent most of the afternoon on the bow reading this was a real luxury, I cannot remember the last time that I had time to actually read a novel. As we approached the point where the St. Lawrence ends (a very nautical term) a huge whale appeared about 20ft from the port side. Very exciting. Arrived in Gaspe at 21.30 and guess what, there was a Timmy’s flashing away so Doug and Christopher went to get sandwiches for supper. 70 Miles
