DAY 16 - December 21st 2011- Cocoa Beach - 28 20.930N:08 43.111W
Up, showered, pumped out and out of the marina by 08.30am. Sun is shining but still cool supposed to go up to 78o today. Passing Coronado Beach Bridge and New Smyna Beach the scenery is just lovely, the houses are changing in design again. Through the famous Mosquito Lagoon, which was quite windy, overtook a boat and into the Haulover Canal, this was a neat part of the trip joining one large lagoon to another by a very narrow canal. It was full of fishing boats, did not see any Manatees though. Into the Indian River past a boat from Quebec and then following behind a catamaran that had London UK on it, we took our eyes off the channel for a moment and hit bottom. OK though got back on track very quickly, forgot that Catamarans do not draw very much. It is now 15.00hrs and we thought we would carry on a bit more, all the boats we passed went into Titusville, unfortunately did not check Skipper Bob and got to the Addison Point Bridge only to find that we had to wait an hour. OH well, let's have an early supper, cooked up an omelet that ended up as an egg hash, never have perfected an omelet, by the time we had eaten the bridge opened and off we go again. Arrived at Cocoa Beach at 19.00hrs in the dark and anchored, tomorrow we shall go ashore and get some provisions as we are pretty low, mind you we are beginning to eat less and less, no more snacking of chips, cheese and goodies.
