Windy and Cool
DAY 41 - January 15th 2011 - Nassau Harbour
This morning we woke and the Oasis of the Seas had arrived overnight, I believe this is the largest cruise ship in the world. It is truly amazing and dwarfs the other four ships docked by its side. We watched as they were doing lifeboat testing, dropping them and motoring around. We both had no intention of doing much today, I am reading and updating my blog while Doug is on the computer. I did not get much sleep last night, the first few hours were OK but then as it got windier and Moma rocked and rolled, I was worried that the anchor would drag or the chain would break, I know it is silly but these things were going through my mind. If it did we would not have gone very far, we are only off shore about 150 feet but it would have been a big bang if we had hit the concrete dock. We were still in the same position as last night when we got up. More boats came in last night and this morning all probably looking for a safe place to stay as the wind is supposed to pick up today and then start to die down tomorrow. 11.00am Yummy Doug is cooking french toast, a nice treat for me. We spent the afternoon touring the town and walked for miles. Gotta get some decent walking shoes. Back to the Green Parrot for another blooming onion and chicken strips then a movie and bed. Winds not good, still blowing and I know that my sleep tonight will be restless. Suppose not a good idea to watch a movie about storms but I did, had to keep putting the sound down as I thought it was outside and not inside
