DAY 14 - March 27th 2012- Lake Worth - Palm Beach - 26 50.244N:080 03.220W
Heading North to Palm Beach today, I emailed Bob to say that we were catching the 10.45 bridge opening outside his condo and when we got there they were both standing out on the wall snapping pictures of us going by, we waved and then off again, I see and visit more with them down here in Florida than when we are all back in Canada. As we approached the Pompano inlet, there was a 42 foot Catalina waiting to go out to the sea, think they were locals as it is not an inlet that transients would take. They shouted out "heh Canada" and there were lots of smiles and waving directed at us. We looked at the skies and Doug thought that there were a few squalls on the horizon, this obviously was not a problem to these guys and out they headed. Some big black clouds rolled in and we had a few quick showers but mainly the weather was great, I was up and down to the radio, sitting on the combing sunning and soon the day disappeared and we arrived in Palm Beach, we decided to head North to Lake Worth to a really quiet anchorage arriving at 18.00. Set anchor and started dinner. This is a lovely anchorage at the end of the Lake and very sheltered, it is a beautiful evening and I am sitting in the cockpit typing while Doug is cooking bangers and beans.
