Browns Marina

19 December 2012 | Bimini
Fantastic
DAY 30 - December 18th 2012- Browns Marina - Bimini
25 43.341N:079 17.943W
Today is the day to cross, up anchor at 05.30am and out into the channel to catch the 06.00am 17th bridge opening. Doug turned on our Xmas lights and we headed out to sea saying goodbye to Florida. Headed South for a few hours before turning up and across the Gulf. I always find I get very sleepy while on long passages and with the sun I napped, read and just stared out at the sea. With the wind and the current we were able to sail for about half of the trip then the wind died. Eventually we saw Bimini and I was glad to be there, think I am a bit dehydrated from the sun and not drinking enough and the sea had been very rolly. We managed to navigate the channel without hitting bottom and took a dock at Browns Marina. Very nice only a $1 a foot. Doug went to check in and then we took a little walk along the main street, hahaha not very main, so quaint. I love Bimini.
DAY 31 - December 19th 2012- Browns Marina - Bimini
Today was lovely waking up to the beautiful view, did a couple of hours work and then took the dinghy round out into the ocean to go ashore and give her a clean, spent a few hours enjoying the beach, back to the marina and then off for dinner at the Big Game Resort.
