Georgetown

23 January 2013
Windy and stuck here
DAY 63 - January 20th 2013 - Georgetown - Volleyball Beach -
After stocking up at the supermarket, we took Moma to Volleyball beach and anchored exactly where we were before. All along Stocking Island there are little bays that can accommodate many boats, hundreds in fact. Pig Roast at Chill and Chats on the beach where we met up with Kathrian, Sweet Chariot, Truansea and many other friends. Delicious.
DAY 64 - January 21st 2013 - Georgetown - Volleyball Beach -
Yoga on the beach, after that we spent most of the day in Georgetown catching up on internet and checking out the pretty little gift stores, I bought a straw hat and some earrings at the straw market, had lunch at Eddie's. Back across the harbour to pick up Pinot and take her ashore and to pet the sting rays at the conch salad stand, then dinner with Laura and Graeme.
DAY 65 - January 22nd 2013 - Georgetown - Volleyball Beach -
Yoga on the beach - Went ashore to try and get my phone working, no luck so bought an internet stick and then a Data package for $30 for 1 gig which includes $15 of talk time. Bought a few sundresses, back across Elizabeth Harbour to pick up Pinot and then over the top of the Stocking Island to the Atlantic, can the sea get any bluer, can the sand get any finer. Such an awesome beach wild yet gentle with the waves lapping against the shore creating little inlets and mounds, this is going to change in the next few days as another cold front is coming in and it will get very rough out there . Appetizers on board Josh's boat with all the Nepean Crowd, Mike McCalldrick had arrived and a good time was had by all.
DAY 66 - January 23rd 2013 - Georgetown - Volleyball Beach
Overnight the cold front came in and when we woke it was overcast and windy, but by 7.30 the sun started to pop out to warm us up. Yoga on the beach and then Doug went across the bay to get propane, he got soaked, a hot shower was in order. A little later on we heard that a cairn terrier had fallen off the boat over in Kidd Cove, Doug was back in the dinghy and across the bay to help search for him. After everyone had given up and the owner got back to his boat and soaked Doug back on board Moma, the owner heard this weak bark and the little guy had swam against the tide and wind to the closest island and was OK. We were all so happy, then the sun disappeared and it became a really miserable day so we had a TV day, 6 episodes of Game of Thrones.
