DAY 87 - February 14th 2013 - Six Hills Cay - 21 27.688N:071 37.917W
HAPPY VALENTINES Today we are leaving and got up early but the wind was working against us and Doug had a hard time pulling up the anchor, as he landed it in the bow roller two dolphins poked their noses up and played around off the bow of the boat. We motored out of the bay about an hour behind Kathrian and then seven hours of bucking across the banks in 12ft of sea and beautiful sky. These banks must be sailed in the daytime due to the coral heads and reefs. We did not hit any thank goodness, I was reading about a Catamaran that tried it at night and ran aground. Six Hills came into view as a little speck on the horizon and eventually we could actually see the six hills on two islands. Once close we motored along to find the best anchorage as Kathrian came up and we both anchored in this little bay which was so calm and pretty. No going ashore, it is all rock and uninhabited but yaay I had cell phone service so was able to send emails out to my loved ones saying I was safe. Tonight we shall have a lobster dinner with rice and a fresh salad as the sun goes down. Very Romantic listening to a harp CD that I bought in Quebec City when we stayed there in 2011.
