DAY 94 – February 21st 2013 – Ocean World
Our last day here, so I worked all morning and then we wandered along the beach past the hotels and gift shacks. I bought a parrot and named him Piper, he will eventually sit in my kitchen in Puerto Rico. Back to the marina and met Donna and Jack at the pool, we decided to have dinner at the pool tonight as it was our last night, very yummy and did not sleep well anticipating our next leg.
DAY 95 – February 22nd 2013 – Ocean World
Today we get going again, on to Samana Bay, let go of the dock at 09.30am and headed out, no big breakers at this point but as we motored on the swells grew to 1.5ms and 8-9 secs. This is not bad, the longer the seconds the easier the ride is. By mid-afternoon the wind had increased and a had short chop on top of the swells. It really did not get any worse till about 03.00 am when the chop increased and threw us around a bit. I was able to sleep a lot through the night but Doug stayed in the cockpit all night.
