Samana Bay

Another perfect day
DAY 100 – February 27th 2013 – Samana Bay – Dominican Republic – 19.11.990N:069 19.819W
A short hop back over to Samana Bay, I need internet and we wanted to be here to clear customs and get our despacho (think this is how it is spelt) before we leave for Puerto Rico. Before heading into Samana Bay we anchored off an island, not sure of the name and spent the afternoon ashore amongst the tourist. Doug particularly enjoyed watching the fishermen chasing the fish into their nets and pulling them in. Back to the boat and arrived in Samana Bay about 17.00hrs. After anchoring and not being able to get internet, we went ashore to get some cash and enjoy the carnival which was on for the whole week. We made a decision to go back to Puerto Bahia in the morning to catch up, check the weather and enjoy our last day in Samana
