DAY 135 - April 3rd 2013 - Christmas Cove - St. Thomas USVI - 18 18.425N:6457.620W
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM. WE have to check out of the BVI so we head back to Sopers Hole, took a mooring ball and while I got on the internet at the café, Doug went and checked us out and was charged $1.00 !!!!. As soon as we could we headed out and over to St. John, so close why bother to have all this checking in and out. Went into Cruz Bay and managed to anchor without getting in the way of the ferries. Doug went off and came back quite quickly as they needed everyone one on board to check in. The rules change for the different ports. I would have liked to look around Cruz Bay but it was so hot and I was concerned about the boat that we headed back after a dinghy ride around the bay. We actually did not stay in St. John although I have been told the anchorages are something special, maybe next time. Headed over to St. Thomas and stopped at Christmas Cove, we had seen this anchorage on the way past before. It is a National Park, a fairly small island with free mooring balls, there were only 6 boats in our bay and it was a spectacular sunset, a really lovely peaceful evening and then I caught up on the rest of the Pirates movie that I fell asleep watching last night.
