Leverick Bay Still

22 February 2014
DAY 56 - February 21st 2014 - Leverick Bay
Wind picking up, as I type the rain is pelting down, this is the third squall we have had this morning. We had planned a beach day but now thinking of just staying put and watching movies or reading.
DAY 57 - February 22nd 2014 - Leverick Bay
Between Mosquito lsland and Leverick Bay is a small cut that shallow drafted boats can navigate. On our way past the other day we noticed some lovely white beaches so we all went off to Mosquito Island to lounge on the beach for the day. After lunch we played horse shoes and frisby and then Donna and I went for a walk along a man-made path that led around the island to Richard Branson's new resort. The story is that Necker Island was purchased very cheaply by Richard so that it would be available for the general public. Well he also bought Mosquito Island and is making that into a world class resort and will then make Necker Island totally private. Well we enjoyed our little bit of the island with not another soul around. A very fast and wet dinghy ride back which had poor Pinot shaking in her boots, her little heart was pounding so much and was very glad when we got back to the boat.
DAY 58 - February 23rd 2014 - Leverick Bay
Gold for our boys at the Olympics, we had quite a gathering at the bar by 8.00am.
