Rain

11 November 2020
Mike
November 11, 2020 Wednesday Veteran’s Day

The weather continues to be scattered rain showers as Hurricane ETA wanders around south of here making weather predictions difficult as a large amount of unstable moist air comes up from the Gulf of Mexico. We left the mooring ball around eleven to catch slack tide at the local marina so we could pump out our holding tank and fill the water tank. As we approached the marina dock the rain started and by the time we were finished, we were soaked to the bone. Some of the rain came down so hard our raincoats just gave up.

Back at the mooring we started the Honda 2000 generator and ran the air conditioning to dry out the boat interior and our clothes. We had a couple more days of rainy weather ahead and I didn’t want the boat to feel like a sauna the entire time and the air conditioner did a great job drying us out.

After the rain stopped later in the afternoon, I took a long row and then took a bike ride to get ice. Sharon had an online bridge game in the afternoon with her club. Not much else to report just waiting for better weather before going south again.
