Miles, our friends' boat, at half mast.

December 18, 2020 Friday

Fifty-seven degrees greeted us this morning as a cold front moved through last night. Windweaver along with the boat Kismet left the anchorage before seven to do an overnight sail down Biscayne Bay to Card Sound and had promised to give us a call when they come back.

We took the bikes to shore and explored the park, strolled on the beach, visited the hardware store and ended up at an Argentina Style restaurant where we had a very good and relaxing lunch. The day had warmed nicely into the seventies with lots of bright sunshine meanwhile my family in New England were getting a big snowstorm.

We have decided to spend a few days here. It is great to be riding our bikes and walking the beach. There are a few projects to work on and the wind isn’t going to support an easy trip down the Keys for a few days. There are other anchorages to explore in the Miami area which we may do next week. So don’t worry if you don’t see postings here for a few days.
