Swimming bear

We were lucky enough to meet friends of Jamie and Jen's on a motor boat who had come to vist – Cy and L.A. on the “Right Whale”. Cy and L.A have been cruising and/or working on this coast most of their lives so on top of being wonderful people they were also a wealth of knowledge. We didn't want to leave but alas we must.

On our way out the next day we saw an odd looking thing in the water and it turned out to be the head of bear that was swimming across the bay and would you believe left the water ON THE SMALL ISLET THAT I HAD PREVIOULSY ASSUMED WOULD BE BEAR FREE.... Another lesson – don't make assumptions. Also on the other side of Monkey Fist was a Humpback whale feeding. Wow !
