Prince William Sound
19 August 2015 | Columbia Bay, Prince William Sound, Alaska
We are now in Prince William Sound, the furthest North we are going at 61 degrees North. It's a huge area and one that deserves more than the week that we are going to give it. Still we are doing our best. So far we've been to 3 glaciers and they all have been stunning. Cold but stunning. The photos are of the glaciers in Columbia Bay, there are 3 of them that wind there way down to the sea.
So we've been catching small "icebergs" and keeping them in our coolbox for adding to our G & Ts, etc.. There is little air bubbles inside and the ice crackles when you poor the spirit over them. So the air that is being released may well be a few thousand years old. We can taste the difference.
