Princess Louisa Inlet
18 March 2016 | Princess Louisa Inlet, British Columbia, Canada
One of the most popular places up this way is Princes Louisa Inlet, about 43 miles east of the main strait between Vancouver Island and the mainland. The channel at the entrance (Malibu Rapids) is narrow and can only be transitted at slack water. The buildings seen at the entrance are a Christian Youth Camp. The waterfall at the end is Chatterbox Falls and there's a sign there telling people not to climb them and that 12 people have already lost their lives attempting to do so.
This is another of the spots we are glad to be visiting at this time of year as it is normally packed during summer.
We again took a time lapse movie of us motoring along the inlet. For some reason the hyperlink isn't working so for the time being I've added a link in the left hand column entitled, surprizingly, "Princess Louisa Inlet".
