While waiting and waiting.......for Moonbeam's arrival, now scheduled for April 9 (and even worse, a different port from where planned, 50 miles away), I found out that Asier, who crewed on Moonbeam from Bali, Indonesia to Phuket, Thailand was here.

We finally connected and have gotten together. What is particularly wonderful, is that he is alive and well. After his departure from Moonbeam in Phuket, he joined another sailboat to continue his own around the world adventure, and had a very harrowing trip across the Red Sea and through all the dangerous areas that I have decided to avoid, including being boarded by armed para-military personnel waving AK-47s. I am now trying to convince Asier to rejoin the safety of Moonbeam for part of our planned Med crossing this year.
