ORANGE IS THE NEW BEIGE

Moonbeam is an Island Packet (brand of boat). In case you haven't noticed, like all Island Packets, Moonbeam's hull is beige, as opposed to most boats which have white hulls (unless they are painted). So when is Moonbeam's beige hull not a beige hull? When it is covered with orange splotches.....which appeared yesterday after a rain storm from the south which blew the red sands of the Sahara all over......everywhere.
After the rain yesterday, Ken found someone with a power washer who agreed to come over this morning to give us an estimate and restore Moonbeam back to her natural color. Well...we waited...and waited...and waited...and...finally enlisted the B team: Ken, James and me, to do the deed. And what a job it was. We will be finding red sand on Moonbeam for eons to come.
BTW, if seeing the red sands of the Sahara were on your list...scratch that. You'll have to come to Crete to find them...on every boat, car and patio.
