THE JOY OF SAILING

We just spent ten wonderful days with our friends Chuck and Jean "sailing" from Dubrovnik to the Split / Trogir area. We had many a great anchorage, time in old cities with lots of history and shared lots of fine meals. The only disappointment was that wherever we went, the wind was on our nose. We motored most of the time, and only had the sails out for a very few hours. Our one consolation was that on our return trip south, we would have the wind behind us.
We are now on the way back south towards Dubrovnik on the way to Montenegro with friends Phil and Leigh, and guess what????? THE WIND IS ON OUR NOSE AGAIN! We must be praying to the wrong God of the Wind.
