KEN
We cleared out of the Straiits of Gibraltar yesterday afternoon and commenced the 700 NM passagge to the Canary Islands. We actually got to do some sailing for a few hours, but then, typ;ical of our summer in the Med. we ended up with 20 Kts on the nose.
The typical long distance sailing life also started. Watch schedules; chore lists; cooking; cleaning; sleeping; fishing (not catching yet) and of course, Bob baking bread (pictured above).
At our current speed, we expect to reach Las Palmas on Grand Canary Iisland by October 31, where we will do a quick refuel and continue to the BVI's.
