WINGING AWAY FROM THE CANARIES

Oh, what a difference a day makes! We awoke to much milder temperatures and the sun peeking through scattered clouds. Anxious for an early start, we were at the fuel dock 30 minutes before they opened. We are now on our way to the BVIs. We have a very favorable wind from astern at about 18-20 kts. Moonbeam is pictured flying a "wing". This is a beautiful sail plan in which the main is set on one side of the boat and the jib on the opposite side, but it can lnly be flown when the wind is from astern. Flying a wing requires a little more attention on the crew's part in order to avoid an accidental jibe, however, we are having a great time and making excellent speed. Don't ask abaout the fish, or should I say lack thereof.
