Bill
We have now made the turn along the south coast of Haiti. In another hour or two we should be in the lee (wind shadow) of Haiti and maybe the breeze will moderate a bit. It is still blowing at 25 knots. Now that we are on more of a close reach it makes for a bumpy ride. We decided to wait a while before we make dinner. Dinner is Macaroni & Cheese made last year at our daughter's house, vacuum sealed, and frozen. Even though it only needs five minutes in the pressure cooker, it's still easier to make when our world is not moving so much. We saw more large ships today but no other sailboats. The picture above is one of the ships passing about a half mile away. We always call them on the radio and make sure they see us. It's so easy with the AIS information since we can call them by name. That's a lot better than the old method of calling "Big ship near Haiti"!
