I should have realized that yesterdays blog, "When a plan works." was just asking for trouble.
Yesterday afternoon as the sun slowly set in the West (anything else might be cause for concern), the Plums joined us for some Sashimi and a loose planning session for the next week or so. (Yes Tony, even Steve tried some raw Tuna).
The plan was (Take note of this Phil) Depart this am 0800 for Kingfisher (20) miles. Friday up to Moon Point another (20) miles. If the weather forecast holds sail across to the Burnett River and anchor upstream for a couple of days with a dinghy visit to Bunderberg. Then a sail up to 1770 Monday or Tuesday and then a couple of days exploring 1770 before heading around for a look at Rods Bay. That should keep us busy over the next week or so.
In the above picture Dry land can be seen just behind the dinghy with Tony Little's bongos in it. Therein lies the big impediment to the execution of cunning plan (No not the bongos) the dry land, it extends underwater and under us and currently is about 900 mm deep and seeing as we need 1300mm to float, we a currently Moor fiberglass Island than we are boat. So the departure has been delayed a couple of hours waiting for the arrival of another 400 mm of water so we can start floating and proceed with step number one of The Cunning Plan.
So the horse has fallen at the gate and failed to even start. Hopes are high of a restart in two hours, so I am on the computer blogging and Kathy is baking a banana cake while the Plums are having another cup of coffee and going back to bed for a sleep in. To be continued ............ ( The journey not sitting on the mud flats, I hope)
