I am 60 years old. I bought the boat from my friends widow 10 years ago when my buddy Doug Burns died of cancer rite here on the boat. Now I also have stage four terminal cancer and won't be around long enough to finish the extensive restoration I started four years ago. [...]'m hoping to find someone who would like to finish what I started.
Four years ago I rafted my sailboat up to a 65 foot catamaran in Hale O' lono harbor on the island of Moloka'i and gutted her completely.
Since then I have install all new electrical system with tined copper wire and a 22 circuit ac/dc panel. ^6 lewmar hatches, two primary 2 speed self tailing [...]
winches and two 2 speed winches over the house. Aluminum toe rails, Harkin jib and main sheet travelers, Harken roller furling, Furuno 48 mile radar w/arpa etc. etc. She has a survivor 35 watermaker, Monitor windvane, single side band, 2 vhf's,stereo, a 37" flatscreen + 2 smaller tvs, a sprint 1000 windlass and a 2 qm 15 yanmar diesel,a 3000watt inverter 5 solar panels a wind genny and a partridge in a pear tree.
I do not want her to go to someone that will let her go to junk. I'll let her go for cheap so long as I can stay aboard till I take my dirt nap. Within a few months.
