Slumming it with the “fly & floppers”

Completed the downward sloping run from La Paz to Mazatlan over the past 48 hours, and are now indulging in resort living with the fly & flop brigade from the colder latitudes. We have been welcomed with a cloudy day. We've forgotten what clouds are, but don't want to rub it in. We are ensconced in El Cid Marina and Resort, and the boys have been getting their money's worth by using the pool non-stop since we arrived early this morning.
The run across the Sea of Cortez/ Gulf of California had it all - motoring at times, spinnaker runs, a great overnight sail with a double reefed main and small smidgen of genoa deployed to prevent us arriving in the dark, then the wind dying 20 miles out, and us motoring slowly into the sunrise. Total elapsed time for the 260 miles was almost exactly 48 hours.
No plans where to go next, but there is a host of other cruisers here with plenty of advice, so we will have a better idea manana.
