Lost in Translation

12 December 2009 | Puerto Vallarta
Andrew
We've been working our way through all 19 flavours of Tang drink crystals. The flavor "Tuna" was interesting. We thought it was Kiwifruit, but apparently it is a local fruit, not dissimilar in appearance than a cactus fruit (maybe it is!). Definitely not tuna.
The other flavor of interest was "Toronja". Given that 'j' in Spanish is pronounced with a distinctly 'h' sound, it sounded suspiciously like the centre of the universe is muscling in on drink flavours. It tastes a bit like grapefruit, but with a name like that, perhaps not what West Coasters should be drinking.
