We had expected French Polynesia to be full of European goodies, but have been pleasantly surprised by the array of stuff from NZ. Therefore we have been enjoying warm baguetttes with NZ butter (canned, but significantly cheaper in this remote outpost than in a big supermarket in Canada), NZ cheese - both "Cheesdale" and Mainland tasty, lamb chops on the barbie, NZ milk (UHT), and for desserts, Tip-Top icecream (even hokey pokey) and biscuits (as we Kiwis call cookies). I even entertain the boys with a complete rendition of the Cheesdale song, which was probably on the tele when I was their age! The anchorage here at Rotoava is rather rolly in the current SE blow, so we may relocate to a more sheltered spot today - away from internet access. Cheers, team Mulan
