Update
28 October 2007
Sorry folks. It was a long time since I last updated this blog. Can you believe I lost my password? It is true. And now that I have found it again you can expect updates every once in a while.
Nausikaa is fine. I have been doing a bit of work to get her into top condition. This includes a complete paint job on the hull. All through hulls have been changed for bronze fittings.
Last summer's cruise was local. Just arround Denmark. Nothing startling but more adventures later? We'll see. I am working on it.

OK. That's it then. Nausikaa has changed owners and I have had my first cruise with my new ship. Wonderful. I am full of admiration for the little vessel.
Nausikaa left Kiel on a fine morning but after that the weatherr got worse - well, it is summer in Europe (or an excuse for it). Anyway, Nausikaa performed beautifuly on a cruise arround the southern Baltic. She is now ashore for the winter, safely hibernating away from the wind and the rain.
Next year I will spend 6 - 8 weeks sailing arround Denmark. Anybody like to come along for the ride? Seriously. If you would, get in touch with Nausikaa at yacht.nausikaa at hotmail.com
Cheers, Skip

Hi and welcome,
My name? Well, just call me Skip. I am the soon to be owner of the yacht NAUSIKAA. Currently she is lying in Hamburg, Germany. NAUSIKAA is a Swedish built double-ender of model Storfidra. She was built at Fiskstra shipyard, a yard which had a long history of building GRP vessels for the Royal Swedish Navy. The cruising yachts built by this yard were built to the same high standards as those demanded by the Navy.
A contract has been signed and NAUSIKAA will officially become mine on 1st August 2005 after parting with a wad of notes to her present owner.
NAUSIKAA will be used for extensive cruising first in the Baltic Sea and then, perhaps, more distant waters.
