Underway..San Diego here we come!

We were up early as our destination was San Diego. Most of the day the wind was on our nose or non-existent but we did get a short sail in and the rest under motor. When we furled in the forsail it got stuck, so we played with it a while, discussing what was needed to solve the issue and found it was an easy fix, we needed to keep a lot of pressure on the line. What was that??!! Dolphins....a whole pod of them coming towards the boat, time to get the camera out, I was too slow this time around to get pictures. But no worries, we saw more and next time I was ready, I managed to get a video of them playing in the bow wake, it was incredible! Uh Oh, there is a "huge" whale off out starboard bow... now it's off our port bow but far enough away, thank goodness! It surfaced again and then it was gone. When we arrived in San Diego harbour and it was clear that this was a Naval City, we saw fighter jets, helicopters, and war ships. We snagged an empty mooring buoy in the bay and figured it was easier to ask for forgiveness if someone came along to claimed it was theirs. The view from the boat was brilliant with the sunset and the lights of the city!
