Went for a bike ride today

We left Half Moon Bay yesterday morning at 7:30am in dense fog, we could not see more than a few hundred feet so needless to say we were using our instruments to guide us. Initially we had to motor sail but as the wind began to increase we were able to sail downwind with 1 reef in the main and the forsail out, fantastic.....we were doing around 6 - 6.5 knots with 16 knots of wind. It took about 8.5 hrs to get to Santa Cruz harbour, what a great little harbour. The harbourmaster gave us a great end tie slip as it was our 37th Wedding anniversary yesterday - the 7th. Today we moved to a different slip, they seem to move people a lot here. As the sun came out this morning we decided to take the bikes out, so off we went to downtown Santa Cruz and along the boardwalk, it was a great ride....I am sure we will pay for it later with aches and pains but all is good. We have met some very nice people here and Ken has just gone off with another cruiser to fill the propane tanks. Tomorrow we will move onto Monterey. Last night we went out for dinner and are having fantastic time.
