Alcatraz in the Tortugas Islands

We were all looking forward to anchoring just off of Alcatraz and doing some snorkelling. Wow, when we arrived in the bay at the anchorage it was like entering paradise, in fact it reminded us a little bit of Thailand. It did not take us long to get our gear together and head off snorkelling the water was clear and warm. We headed over to where the tourist boats were snorkelling as we figured they would know the best spot and we were not disappointed. We saw lots of tropical fish in the water there. Ken`s new mask is working out great it has corrective lenses in them so he can now see ...yahoo! We also used the snorkelling vests that Chris and Roza gave us for Christmas and they work great and also give us great visibility while snorkelling as they are a florescent greeny-yellow colour. The anchorage was beautiful at night and calm. You have to watch the winds in this anchorage but the wind gods were with us.
In the afternoon we saw a power boat come into the anchorage with a Canadian flag, what are the chances. They are from Toronto and bought a boat down here as they have a condo in Herradura, Costa Rica, the boat name is Kampai. They were thrilled to 3 Canadian boats in the anchorage.
