Isla Pardida

As we mentioned, we have not seen much sea life along the Costa Rican Coast but this morning we saw Turtles, Rays flying out of the water and dolphins in our bow wake after we left the anchorage. Today we have a fishing line out, maybe we will catch a fish but we are not very lucky at that. August Moon already caught a Dorado but lost it.....but the good news is they caught another one and we all get to eat fish tonight! Now for another fish story, Ken got a bite on our line and as he was reeling it in it jumped out of the water a couple of times and then took our fish lure and leader line with it, so no fish for us today. A lot of the turtles were dead, not sure why or what happened to them.
We arrived at the anchorage somewhere around 1pm and jumped in the water right away, a great way to cool off. Now I am cooking and making Potato salad for tonight and Ken is outside the boat cleaning the waterline area. The anchorage is very protected from the swells and pretty. A young fellow from the island came out to the boats and gave us each a coconut and we gave him some pop.
We had a great dinner on board our boat with Jeff & Egris from Chasing the Sun, Russ & Doreen from August Moon and Jean-Guy & Fran from Gosling. Everyone brought something to go with the fish that August Moon had supplied.
Wow,we slept really well as the anchorage was very calm, we only woke up once in the night to close all of the hatches as a heavy rain storm went through the area. We are now on our way to the Isla Seca.
