On our way to the San Blas
26 February 2013
Carole
We have spent the last 3 days doing some provisioning, cleaning the boat and just relaxing a little but now it is time to head off to the San Blas with Mike and Doug so that they can have a few days there.
We left Shelter Bay and headed for Green Turtle Cay where we would stay for the night. It is true what they say .. once you are on the caribbean side you sail more than you motor.
It was about a 6 1/2 hour run, the surf outside the marina was a little concerning when we were entering but once inside it was fine. The docks are cement and a strange configuration but we were soon tied up to a dock beside August Moon. A few days later we realized that this is not a marina we would recommend as the cement had rubbed off on the fenders and made a mark on the boat in one area.
The boys wondered around the property and enjoyed the beach and the restaurant while Carole relaxed on the boat.
