Fun in Finike

Awoke to a two turtle show off the port beam only a boat length away. Two loggerheads cavorting in perhaps a mating ritual. The bay here in Kekova was so calm it acted like a mirror reflecting the panoramic vista about us. We finished our breakfast (the meals on board have been awesome as anyone who has crewed with Crew on board will attest to). Bacon and eggs, toast, beans, tomatoes and the ever present cucumber.
After weighing anchor - a complete delight with the new electric Lofrans windlass - we slowly cruised past the ruins off Kekova Island in deep water only fifty feet off the shore. The predicted south winds never did show up so we motored over calm seas to Finke, a small town located on the west shore of Finke Korfezi (bay) just before the Besadalar (five island) cape that takes us on up the coast to Antalya.
Finke boasts a large outdoor market every Saturday. We were in luck because it was indeed Sat.! Hundreds of stalls in a maze of small alleys displaying a startling array of products from food to clothing to crafts. Many of the women were dressed in traditional styled outfits. We are definitely off the tourist path here.
After bartering for a few items it was back to the boat for dinner on board. But not before a stop at a café for a snack and "Uc Bira Lutfen"
