Woke to a cloudy day, the first since we arrived in Greece and by mid morning there was a bit of rain. We decided to try to find a real supermarket ā€“ one with meat! On our way we stopped at a store selling linens and found a couple of tablecloths which should fit our dining room table ā€“ even extended. We promised to stop back on our way home to pick them up. Found the grocery store without too much trouble. It is on Kanada street! They had everything we were looking for and a bit more. On the way back we were looking at the daily special at an inviting restaurant when it started to rain in earnest. We both enjoyed grilled fish with rice, fries and salad and a garlic sauce which was homemade. They provided a complimentary dessert which was a candied fruit? with honey. Great place to sit out the rain. By the time we picked up the tablecloths and got home the wind was increasing and had swung more to the north. Another boat had come in beside us and we were all bouncing back and forth as the wind came in gusts. It is forecast at 20-25 Knots overnight and the same tomorrow. Had soup on board for dinner. The soup packages have no English so it is always a surprise. Tonight it was cream of beef. Before we left the boat I went forward to check the lines and when I returned to the pilothouse I caught a cat which had sneaked aboard and was just entering the salon. Not sure which of us was more surprised but he left in a hurry. We put the hatch boards in when we went for a shower (lukewarm) and gave Jen a call. Iā€™m thinking this will be another early night.
